I got straight in and tickets had already gone. Tried again, got told I was a bot, then got kicked out. Ainβt technology grand?
Today was the presale, tomorrow is the general sale. But seeing as the ICA only holds 350 I donβt fancy the odds of getting a ticket. The guest list is going to take up most of that!
The ICA is a ridiculously small venue for this, so it was always going to be a bun fight, but the least AEG could've done was make sure their systems were up to it. Bring back the days of queuing outside Star Green on Argyll Street I say!

Another one off the bucket list. Peter Murphy tells me all about his favourite albums (and his new one Silver Shade) for @thequietus.com. thequietus.com/interviews/b...
Worst Marvel franchise yet.
Fantastic interview with Nik Fiend from the criminally under appreciated architects of goth Alien Sex Fiend.
Calibri (12pt), single spacing.
For me, theyβre like an annoying, overachieving mate. I know theyβre going to be good at everything they do, but I can only ever appreciate it begrudgingly. Like, The Bends is brilliant - but OF COURSE it is!
The incredible Heartworms at the @concorde2.bsky.social in Brighton last night. None more goth.
Debut single from my 15-year-old sonβs band The Myths is released today. I know Iβm his dad, but if this had landed in my inbox from a PR, Iβd have been impressed. Give it a listen. open.spotify.com/album/3Pxvnz...
Today is final order cut off for Endeavour #1 from @dstlry.bsky.social @stephsmash.bsky.social and myself.
Please let your local comic shop know that you want a copy today!
I'd be hugely grateful for all reposts - many thanks in advance.
I appreciate there are worse things in the world to be getting bothered about right now, but that new Skunk Anansie single is terrible on so many levels. A real crime against humanity.
Oh bravo, @2000ad.bsky.social. Coverline of the year. #waughondrugs
βAs God is my witnessβ¦β
An absolute giant. His 2018 feature for βthe other magβ on Ian McCulloch remains one of the greatest ever pieces of music journalism, not just on the Bunnymen, but on any band.
This looks amazing. Everyone I know will be at this. Forget the Gathering of the Tribes, this is the Gathering of the WhatsApp groups.
My tribe.
One year since Regis and I hosted A Some Bizzare Evening at Centrala in Birmingham. A weird, wonderful and chaotic affair that saw the first public screening of Soft Cellβs Sex Dwarf video since 1982. Stevo was his usual baffling, frustrating, and very funny self and a good night was had by all.
Great band.
Always one of my favourites. This version is incredible too. open.spotify.com/track/0QTXed...
The versions of Computer Blue and Darling Nikki are definitive. What a band The Revolution were.
I watched this Prince show when it was first broadcast via a dodgy satellite link back in 1985. Itβs one of the greatest live performances, made all the more so by its almost bootleg quality.
Thanks! I have to admit, he was a bit of a style icon for me!
What a fantastic band they were.
Favourite band with only one album under their belt before jacking it in?
Nymphs.
RIP Inger Lorre.

I was 14 and bought a ticket to see the Batcave tour when it came to a neighbouring town. My dad drove me there, took one look at the crowd, and offered to pay me double the cost of the ticket to NOT go in. Iβm glad I turned him down, as the gig pretty much changed my life.
