Let me finish it and get back to my opinion but only 6 hours of RE gameplay after this when the rest of the games were cheaper and longer seems like I'm being goobered around a little.

It's not so much that the pacing is slow at the beginning, it's that it's like I'm reading an 80s Stephen King novel where it's written on copious amounts of cocaine that it can't stay on a single character for more than a chapter.

Very linear which is opposed to what Resident Evil was which was inventory management and making sure you were prepared for what was next... This one so far just feels like small interactive segments to keep you occupied before the next cutscene... not that into it, so far.

Take this opinion with a grain of salt since I haven't finished it, but I'm not as impressed as I thought I'd be. It's nothing like the formula I knew and it's not hard at all.

I'm playing RE: Requiem and 2 hours in I don't understand how some think that this is one of the top 5 Resident Evil games. It's so casual and so hand-holding as compared to many of the games I grew up with so far.
I kind of consider this the MGS4 of RE games where it's mostly cutscenes.
