Agree — I think he & I are generally on the same political page but this was not a well-written piece. Feels like an editor said, ah we've got a social media kerfuffle happening that we must chime in on quickly, write something by 5!
I should've edited this to take out "a lot" because I can't confirm that now but certainly at least one and an angry DM when they were asked about it privately which led to all of it being shared publicly.
Also Joe does not seem to know that last year the official P&TY account was liking a lot of RFK MAHA posts and when asked, got defensive and blocked people and the whole thing grossed me out so I haven't been there since. Which is sad bc it's right by my hair salon and I love a lil treat.
I agree with Joe on a lot of this BUT we no longer have a functioning three branch gov't with checks & balances so the people have little ability to have their voices heard other than through their economic choices bc that’s all POTUS seems to care about.

But, even a locally-started event like Bourbon Women SIPosium has nearly outgrown downtown hotels with 450 attendees and a need for lotsa conference rooms.
Tourism has shared data showing how wildly under hotelled we are compared to comparable cities which is WILD because I feel like this city is a third hotels, a third mattress stores and a third car washes.
