Just trying to keep neurons firing and creating more synapses. I had my Spanish fairly conversational in the 80s, my Dutch passable in the 90s but life got in the way and that all slid to the side. I’m starting to tease out some Spanish memories so maybe I am doing myself some good.

Restraint my friend, restraint. I still had my Spanish class to get through last night. In keeping with the recurring theme, “No fue mi mejor noche”.

I’m getting serious about getting my Spanish conversational again, I feel like I need to be prepared in case the madness keeps expanding.

I chose the second remedy. I had to open a very nice white wine to put a 1/2 cup in that hideous dish. We polished off the bottle. 😀

I’m going to embrace that. Thank you.😀

The first thing that went wrong was in now had extra liquid and boiled over into the oven.

I finally got it cooked and it just looked gray. I added more salt and pepper. We sat down to eat it, I added Tabasco sauce. It was only barely edible. Unredeemable.

I should have just stopped, called it a day and ordered take away. But no I decided to tweak it up. Recipe called for white wine, heavy cream and broth. I had some tamarind chipotle sauce from the weekend, I added that. Added extra spices.

I am a very decent home cook but tonight I screwed up dinner so badly I am ashamed. I was making a sausage and rice casserole from a recipe I got off America’s Test Kitchen.

Just as I prepared to start browning the sausage I realized it wasn’t sausage. I had grabbed a package of ground pork.

It looks like my shitty day continues. Geek squad estimates it will be about 3 hours to get my computer all restored.

Meanwhile I completely screwed up dinner. This day. I swear it is an abomination.

OMG. Well it is official. I have had a day as annoying as fuck. 30 mins of my life lost to CVS nonsense. Then I opened an email from a friend that turned out to be a hacker. I changed my Gmail passsord immediately and now I cannot get Gmail on my iphone, iPad and PC.

What an idiotic fool. The only people more idiotic are those disgusting fools in his backdrop.
