Write an email to or speak at a meeting for your local town/city council demanding that they refuse to provide utilities or permits to ICE detention centers.
At Whipple where expired dicks are being thrown at ICE vehicles and those believed to be agitators. The area has been a place of protest since thousands of federal agents arrived in the city.

Last week, Austin PD called ICE to turn in a woman from Honduras and her US-born 5 year-old daughter.
They only knew about them because the woman called 911 for help with a domestic disturbance. She needed help and they handed her over to ICE.

This is the blueprint. Pay attention. When ICE shows up, neighbors alert neighbors with whistles, horns, voices cutting through fear.
People come out of their homes. And when the community reaches critical mass, ICE is forced to retreat because occupation fails when the people refuse to disappear.
We have seen this before in other nations, in other eras. The lesson is always the same: authoritarianism does not arrive all at once. It advances by inches, justified by emergencies, sanctified by fear, and enforced by those who convince themselves they are merely “following orders.” #ICEOUTforGood
I keep seeing people asking why the police aren't arresting ICE or protecting people from ICE and I desperately need you to understand that the police aren't protecting you from ICE because protecting YOU is not and never has been their function and that's why we need to defund them.
It's worth reminding each other every couple days that every delay you create, every horrible opportunity you deter means someone gets home to their family, might even mean someones actual life is saved. All of it is worth it.
