Screenshot of Tumblr post: more seriously I actually really love how they handled Samara. there is not even a hint of the ultra-feminine temptress trope or performative sex appeal. she’s screwing with you. she’s having more fun than you. she’s having more fun than everybody. she’s not trying to seduce you at all, she’ll flirt a little for her own amusement but in a way that makes it very clear that she expects people to fall at her feet without her even doing that much to encourage them. she’s gatecrashing Mara’s celebration while visibly intoxicated and being unrepentantly playfully cruel. she’s very attractive but it’s all coming from the aforementioned. she’s an instantiation of roaming id and does not give a shit about anything unless it’s a source of entertainment right now. they gave us a female guise of Sanguine who is not trying to play succubus even a little and that’s so much better than I could have expected.

Bravo ZOS!" post continues: I went into Hearts event a tad fatigued with events. (ZOS has been leaning on them hard for several years now.) After initially being slightly disgruntled over the usual fetch quests, that quickly turned into genuine amusement at the rather excellent writing and voice acting for the event characters and quests. The distraught-yet-haughty Dreams-in-Scenes along with her troupe delivers some eloquent and quite amusing dialogue. Samara's voice actress delivered honeyed-words-with-not-quite-hidden-fangs, and in doing so delivered both justice and thrill to the suspected true identity of said character. And then there is the Blue Sash guild....Hilarious! Bigrok steals the show at the end with his 'armor testing' (lmao!) yet each of the four guild members brings both drama, introspection, earnestness and hilarity to the event. And last but certainly not least: our big, huggable priest of Mara cat! The writing is some of the finest I've come upon in ESO in quote some time and the voice acting is immaculate. Full marks to all involved. Bravo!

Mara protects us all!

It's been so heartwarming (heh) to see folks' reactions to our new Heart's Week event. It was such a joy to work on these quests and I'm proud of what we pulled off so excuse this indulgent post! #ESOfam
