The Car of Tomorrow, The Formula 1 of Today? - PH Takahashi
Redefining how Formula 1 races to where drivers and fans are comparing it to Mario Kart in the interim is going to work itself out, right?
New blog post: Wanted to put my thoughts and reflections into writing after what was a interesting Formula 1 curtain raiser. And the parallels brought forward by @jsracing61.bsky.social that will be interesting if F1 falls into the same traps on. πππ

cassie is literally one of the best posters on here and more importantly a ray of light in a dogshit world, to victims and trans people. personally, she's made me feel way less alone during a very isolating and scary time in my life and country.

Mark Carney could be doing anything right now. Canadians want so badly to trust him and to have someone reasonable in charge.
What is he doing with all that power and trust? Cutting taxes, cutting services, and putting out statements supporting a war that started with bombing a school.
Empty suit.

Port McNeil gets a pass, this time. They have a Fields there. Lake Cowichan was not so lucky.

when I was a kid I thought executives at these big companies didn't seem smart then I got to college and saw the challenges of coordinating technical teams I thought maybe I'd underestimated them then worked at EA off and on a few years met some executives and quit because I was right the first time

This is the story btw (this report is fine, but is being decontextualized and amplified on X). It's reserve land, the 50 year lease is expiring, the Nation has previously warned they may not renew, they are now giving 2 years notice and waiving pad fees until then

oh uh that's a good question.
We got uhhh Super GT and Supercars that's pretty good. I knew Montreal clashed with Indy and assumed there was another race on similarly big

It's tricky because like the nature of Formula 1 means it sometimes just won't produce a race as a story that's succinct and satisfying the whole way through. Sometimes they just fizzle like this one did (a lot of them do)
idk, Bahrain and Montreal are usually pretty good

It was a great moment when the first year they rebanned driver aids in 2008 that the first wet race was Monaco. The racing gods do have a sense of humor, but they love to play the long game.

The brainrot "it's a distraction" takes have GOT to go away. Nobody needs to distract from them because nobody is going to do anything about them. Some chud tried to kill Trump over them, which means he understands more about the current US government than the shitlibs do.
