I love songs that nobody calls it the real name.

Awful tragedy what's happened to the Central Station in Glasgow. Those firefighters are heroes!

I think this is valid. If I wanted to watch a movie I would, a game blocking is a hard pass.

Every day I look at iOS and MacOS liquid glass and am just continually shocked that platforms that have been maturing for decades took a giant step backward in visual polish and legibility because ... some designer likes transparency?

And now there are a bunch of prefs to fix it? Who's to blame?

I've never needed to print yellow! Stop asking for yellow!

I’ll worry about the robot uprising when my printer fetches it’s own paper and ink

Code editor, because icons and shapes are my primary use-case not illustrations.

So, she really liked it. It was a lot of fun.

We paused it periodically to discuss…
β€œI so confused/oh mind blown”

Watching it back, the cadence is slow, and it’s a long film, but I don’t think you can cut any more out.

Yeah, that makes sense. Landlords are the worst!

Why does my back hurt then, Jon? Why?

AI Skills Boost - AI Skills Hub

I think I might take one of these "under 20 minutes" AI skills courses the UK Govt. seems very keen on everyone doing and live-post it here... Maybe we can all learn something together! The press release sends me to aiskillshub.org.uk/aiskillsboost/ - let's go and see!

I love when professionals say β€œperform a visual inspection”

Oh, you mean β€œhave a look at it”?

22.01.2026 19:37 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

Can always fluff it up a bit…

β€œI’ll monitor it” means… I shall do nothing. Maybe look at it.

Just sounds better doesn’t it.

Which is relevant if you’re always trying to end a correspondence with an action.

22.01.2026 19:35 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

β€œDo nothing” is still an action

It makes me so angry because these are not serious people and we are forced to pretend they are or get scolded for being elitists insufficiently open to new stalls in the marketplace of ideas when we point out a prerequisite for the debate stage should be understanding how literally anything works.

Will the astronauts for Artemis III be the same do you know?

Or do one group get to land and one group just get to look at the moon?

Fingers crossed, there’ll be some story and not just a CGI demo

Apparel Studio - Brexit cut our earnings in half almost overnight, then leaving the Single Market locked in the damage through tariffs that wrecked our margins. We were pushed into moving manufacturing abroad just to survive, which harmed quality and left us paying extra costs week after week.
Businesses like ours cannot 'move on' when the penalties keep landing in real time. Access to the Single Market and the Customs Union would let us trade normally again and start rebuilding.

Access to the custom union and single market would save small businesses across the UK, like Apparel Studio. If we want to undo the damage to our economy, we need to undo the actions that caused them.

Went to see Labyrinth 40th Anniversary. With certain apprehensions that it might not age very well.

Good fun! I’m enjoying the re-plays of movies that were a bit before my time.

Anyone recommend any of these type of books for practicing typefaces?

28.12.2025 10:29 πŸ‘ 2 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

Yes, release date is probably the correct way.

Temple of Doom it is!

27.12.2025 19:32 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

But are you allowed to watch series in non-chronological order? No, you are not.

27.12.2025 19:15 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 2 πŸ“Œ 0

Hmm, maybe I’ll pre-watch it. I remembered the skull melt face as it was happening.

Oh, I was waiting for the 12 year old to get back home so we could watch Temple of Doom as it’s a 12… is it not appropriate?

We saw Raiders last week and it was fine
