I think that the bias is coming in because that would have been one of the earliest games where the gender of the character is very visible throughout the gameplay. All these others are simple pixels in gameplay. Laura has boobs in game.

I actually thought about this a little while ago because there is a huge drop off in boys reading I think in like 6th grade or something.
But if you just presented them with a book about some guy who has endless power scaling saving the universe, they'd read 150 chapters of that.
I think the actual hurdle is showing people that reading can be FUN. That it does not have to have great meaning or be smart or anything. It can just be fun.
I think a lot of people, men, who stop reading do it because it's just not any fucking fun so they have to learn it can be.

It feels like something special. When I saw the first trailer I thought, oh! This is Doing Something! More than just gameplay it feels like A Story.
Have you beat it? I know it's not long.
It's really freeing for me to be able to go even though I am bad at this thing, I am going to keep playing it because there are other ways for me to enjoy this experience.
It's going to take me a really long time to progress through this game. I am not good at these types of of games but I'll keep at it because it's beautiful.
