senators gotta stop doing posts that are like "this is a huge problem. act like it." dude I know it's a huge problem. that's what I elect you to deal with. I'm a guy in a used hoodie and costco pants, you're a senator.

Top-down view of a homemade white chocolate raspberry cheesecake, with copious amounts of deep red raspberry compote swirled into creamy pale yellow cheesecake. The cheesecake is inside a round dark metal springform pan, surrounded by crumpled aluminum foil.
I am worried this is going to crack terribly as it cools so enjoy the beauty while it lasts.
I have made a terrible mistake. I did not actually start assembling and baking an entire cheesecake until after I got the kids in bed, and now I am up so so late trying to deal with cooling it down (but not too fast).
But on the other hand, white chocolate raspberry cheesecake.
I may be doing really poorly mental-health-wise and it feels like the world is on fire, but I finally hung up my window crystals so there are rainbows in my living room.
help i spent too many hours researching office furniture and now my brain is mush
i cannot believe we are into year 2 of the groyper regime, the camps are open and the state is revoking id's, and we are still getting "oppressed minorities are kinda rude on the internet :/" hand-wringing
yeah we're a little tense right now, believe it or not. fucking shut the fuck up about it
The last thing you should do in a country where dental insurance is barely real and widely unavailable is to take fluoride away
"So, I’m asking you, as someone who loves you—stop it. Stop the screaming. Be proactive about your life. Go do something about it."
Even though I'm an economist, I wish there was more focus on the human suffering from this war and less focus on the economic consequences. Hundreds of little girls are dead, and we're worried about oil prices.
The weather is getting warmer and you know what that means - ladder falls.
“The government could end all of the suffering in our country… We could have health care and access to food, healthy foods, fresh food, we could have good doctors. We should be asking, ‘Why are we investing billions of dollars into another war across the seas?’”
I decided to treat myself and choose pretty wall organization stuff because life is short and you know what, I *like* shiny things.
Also, maintenance, insurance, fuel, and other ongoing costs even if the car is purchased without financing. Going to a single car household saved us SO much money but it wouldn’t be possible in most places.
It’s cool that this generation gets to find out the answer to “what would you have done when we started interning the Japanese?” and “what would you have done when we invaded Vietnam?” and “what would you have done in Watergate?” all at the same time.
Everyone should not have to have a direct line to elected officials in order to ensure that we are not kidnapped by the government.

Just a reminder that -
"We found that a staggering 90% of people living with #LongCOVID initially experienced only mild illness with #COVID-19":

Sending you and your family all the kind thoughts.
Massage practitioner co-sign. I've had clients whose politics were bad enough I fired them over it, but even among that number, overt nazi ink did not appear.
Eagle over a Bible verse sort of thing at worst.
My university received a few years ago the promise of the largest single gift to a public university in U.S. history. It was equivalent to 12 hours of bombing Iran.
Americans will do anything to avoid using the metric system 🦩
They are torturing and killing people in our concentration camps, and I wish more people were actively bothered by that
"we are living through unprecedented times". bro these times have so much precedent. these are some of the most precedented times of all time.

Extremely funny to hear "900 people would lose billions but still be rich and every single member of the middle class--millions of people--would get a check big enough to not have to stress about rent for a month or two" portrayed as a BAD thing
really tired of conversations about how we need to get people to spend more time offline that don't acknowledge that one of the reasons people ARE online is their access needs aren't being met in physical spaces. This is especially true for queer people and disabled people.

Yeeeep. I think after a warning/initial fine, the city should take care of it and bill the property owner for overtime labor.
The property near me that has been the biggest hazard appears to be a rental with a non-responsive landlord. If you’re profiting off it, you should be taking care of it.
A handsome black and white tuxedo cat with a mostly black face with a splash of white over his muzzle like an asymmetrical upside down heart, curled up facing the camera. He is nestled against the torso of a person lying down on a bed wearing blue jeans and a light mauve t-shirt. In the background is a bed with gray bedding.
Bucky did great at the vet and made so many new friends! Happy to be back home though.
Poorly plowed side roads plus entitled drivers parking where their vehicles DON’T EVEN FIT - this is hell. I think I am actually in hell.
In related news, I somehow made it to the vet and managed to park after circling the big lot for several minutes. Poor Bucky is very, very confused.
Medford won’t even FINE properties reported for doing ZERO SHOVELING THIS ENTIRE WINTER.
