Well this is impossible to take a good picture of, but my hawknado is complete!! 110 lil felt birds hung from the same mesh fabric I used for my cicada wings in an embroidery hoop with embroidery floss. I'm so happy with the result!

Help I still have 2 Perspectives pieces to finish but I'm already daydreaming about the next birds I want to felt (it's a Snow Bunting and American Woodcock if you were curious 👀)
I haven't felted a Woodcock in YEARS and I'm excited to revisit them with my new Who Cares How Long It Takes mentality

UGHH same here only with freeIng rain and snow! I told Twitch that we're about to live in a random weather generator for the next week. Gotta take in the nice days before winter has its revenge!

The weather this week has been so beautiful. All I wanna do is relax with all the windows open in my nice clean living room and play that goofy new Pokemon game... So I will !!

Everybody participating in the next group show at my fav gallery is making a pop-up book. They hosted a workshop on different styles. The one I'm making, we didn't get to practice so I just threw a quick and dirty practice panel together and omg. Can't wait to do the real one, these are so fun!!

Omg that's kind of a huge relief to hear?? I watched 1 and 2 at a drive-in this past October. 1 bored me, 2 was like aha finally things are happening lol. My horror fan buddy scolded me for this opinion 😆

Was getting ready to start stringing up my hawks. Embroidery floss, embroidery floss everywhere, but not a single sky blue-esque color in my collection. Fudgeeee

I'm so happy, my 109 tiny Broad-winged Hawks (and 1 Turkey Vulture) are done! Next step will be to start putting together the kettle! But first, a break ❤️

My whole job is Spotted Lanternfly control. I don't hate them though. They're super goofy bugs, clumsy and pretty and a lil gross especially in infestation numbers.
It's our responsibility to fix the environmental messes we create, but that doesn't mean we should hate any critters.

I finally have -actual work- to do today and all next week and maybe actually for the rest of the month?? Hope the weather cooperates from here on out!

Ate something my body is real mad about and can't lie in bed. Opal lies on me every night and doesn't understand why I'm sitting on the floor. She's escorting me back and forth to the bathroom and curling up in my arm as I'm slumped over the bed. 😭❤️ Truly the best little doctor I could ever ask for
