Never played any of these but I’m intrigued. Crazy that JAM is still alive!

Now I have *three* boyfriends
Maybe it’s a BL barbershop quartet
The first place I ever saw a Jaguar for sale was the EB in Rockefeller Center. Very memorable.
Be bear!
I had forgotten about EBX, the smaller EB that had its own name (ish)???? Thanks, price tag!
Whew.
I hope this is cool.

Here’s the pitch: A middle aged bear watches classic ‘90s MTV and reminisces. Wait, where are you going?
More Than Words for some reason literally warps me back to 8th grade history class. I must have snuck in my Walkman.
This video is my 8th grade mix tape mixed with record execs fucking flailing.
And the VJ is promising me both Happy Mondays and Cinderella. 1991!
And this. Of course.
And Janie’s Got a Gun.
What an interesting cultural moment. The cusp of change. There was a terrible Rolling Stones single I don’t remember at all, too.
None of it matters now!
And Losing My Religion, naturally.
Now that I found out people have uploaded old MTV to YouTube it’s just what I’ve got on. Enjoying (???) some pre-Nirvana 1991 random late-nite and it’s still got hair metal and weird stuff I do not remember at all. And a news report on Queensryche. But also Dinosaur Jr!
Yeah, Girlfriend was a titanic moment for me in ‘91 and in the formation of my taste and identity as a teenager. And over the years I’ve periodically gone on kicks with his stuff and it’s an enduring facet of my taste.
From this lovely 1993 episode of 120 Minutes that’s 100% in-studio performances. Currently watching Victoria Williams with Lou Reed.

Matthew sweet performing ugly truth rock on MTV’s 120 minutes
Kinda sad I never saw Matthew Sweet live. I have such an enduring fondness for him.
That was a nice timeline cleanser.
What a little tater tot.
Hirayasumi volume 8 cover
Hirayasumi is such a good manga. I’ve never heard anybody talk about it. Kinda bums me out. I always look forward to the next volume.
Maybe it was later. I’ll hedge and say as late as 1998 maybe! It was a used FZ-1 from an EB dump bin.
My 3DO was $40 in 199…6?
