I was actually discussing this in a stream last night and so it's pretty validating seeing that I'm not the only one with this opinion, as grim as it is. There have been a lot of signs over the years that WT is gradually choking out its indie creators, so this may as well be the last gasp.

I've got a whole separate channel now that I do other stuff with, it's been a great way to get back into streaming but it's only once a week and I don't commit to any specific day, usually either Thursday or Friday evenings. It's been fun but the mental prep and social burnout is still exhausting 😅
whoof yeah that's a lot! even when I was regularly streaming back in 2021/2022 I was only doing like 3 streams a week and that took me tf out 😆 (Fridays were for FF XIV, Mondays were for just general artwork, and then Sundays were for subs-only and it was when I would draw new episodes of TG).
in spite of everything, the Internet is still the only place where I can go from watching an insightful 25 min video about the themes of anti-intellectualism in that of Philomena Cunk, and then immediately afterwards watch a 50 minute examination of all the different ways to pee in Heavy Rain

I hope so! But the reality also is that many who are homeless can't even secure jobs to begin with, largely due to the ongoing drug crisis and lack of support for those with both mental and physical disabilities, among several other factors. Reforming our healthcare system needs to come next.
