Thanks, Garth! It was a total surprise, that's for sure.
I love the dog!

Image shows author Juliet seated on the couch, holding a book called The Amber Owl, with intricate tracery of plants and animals on a forest green cover. Juliet has a small white dog on either sideof her, cuddling up.
My new novel, The Amber Owl, first book in the Heartwood Duology, is out now from New Dawn Publishing. It's available via ANZ booksellers, and the publisher is working on wider distribution. You can also purchase via the publisher's website - they ship internationally. Link in comments.
An Australian publication at present available only in Australia and NZ - the publisher is working on getting it distributed more widely. Also, you can order direct from the publisher, as they will ship internationally. Go to the Books page on their website for more info.
The image is of the cover of "Wildwood Dancing" by Juliet Marillier, book one in the Wildwood Duology.
The Wildwood Duology by @julietmarillier.bsky.social is a stunningly beautiful & engaging reimagining of the "Twelve Dancing Princesses" fairytale. There are so many twists & turns in its intricately woven plot you won't be able to put it down from start to finish, & the writing is gorgeous. 5/5β
I think I got a kind of squee when I received a signed and personalised copy of one of YOUR books saying you loved MY books - no problem with that kind of repetition!
Excellent! I'm on the very last chapters of my book and the words are not exactly gushing out. Maybe I don't want to say goodbye to these characters.
Just finished it - it's an excellent read, sure to keep you up late.
WEIMAR+STATEMENT FRANCE, GERMANY, POLAND, ITALY, SPAIN, UNITED KINGDOM EU HIGH REPRESENTATIVE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AND SECURITY POLICY We are ready to enhance our support for Ukraine. We commit to its independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity in the face of Russia's war of aggression. We share the goal to keep supporting Ukraine until a just, comprehensive and lasting peace is reached. A peace that guarantees the interest of Ukraine and our own. We are looking forward to discussing the way ahead together with our American allies. Our shared objectives should be to put Ukraine in a position of strength. Ukraine and Europe must be part of any negotiations. Ukraine should be provided with strong security guarantees. A just and lasting peace in Ukraine is a necessary condition for a strong transatlantic security. We recall that the security of the European continent is our common responsibility. We are therefore working together to strengthen our collective defense capabilities.
BREAKING: France, Germany, Poland, Italy, Spain & UK sign a joint statement vowing to protect Ukraineβs sovereignty & demanding a role in the peace talks.
This is leadership.
Itβs also unprecedented.
A western alliance is having to form against a new, twin & united threat: Trump & Putin.
Congratulations! Sounds wonderful.
Wow, that is an exceptionally powerful (and dark) story. (Happily Ever After Comes Round.)
Wonderful achievement, @julietemckenna.bsky.social ! But not surprising as this is such a great series.

More books should look like this. @tanaudel.bsky.social
Really lovely art work by @tanaudel.bsky.social
Exactly my thoughts at the moment. But tricky as a writer, since so many use Instagram, in particular, as a way of interacting with readers.
Still undecided but would love to see you if there's an opportunity.
I'm glad you're going ahead with this and wish I could be there. I might possibly be at World Fantasy (in Brighton) the week before, making getting to Perth, Scotland from Perth, Western Australia, slightly more likely. But things are too uncertain at present for me to sign up.
Jeff Bezos never wanted this cartoon to become public.
He killed it, and as a result, pulitzer prize editorial cartoonist Ann Telnaes quit.
Make sure everyone sees this cartoon.

Lovely story!
Looks both substantial and entertaining.
Reading these posts makes me want to go back and live in Aotearoa New Zealand.
It is stressful. Yes spoiled to bits, but it's hard when he needs to eat and just won't. I think he's showing signs of dementia as well as everything else, poor old boy.
It's an ongoing balancing act. Waiting for some test results. He's meant to be on a special diet but he doesn't believe it's actually food.
Great to see you too!
Look carefully and you may spot my new novel, The Amber Owl, in this mosaic of covers from New Dawn Publishing. Some lovely designs here. The cover for The Amber Owl is by Micaela Alcaino.
Spare some good wishes for Rocky, who is dealing with complicated health issues including high blood pressure and kidney disease. He'll starve rather than touch the required special diet. A difficult time. He's spending a lot of time sleeping in this favourite spot on the couch.
