Drawpile disconnected for a moment, turning my avatar into an N, someone called me Captain N and someone else said my characters were going to be interpreted as 80s animation cliches. Then I blacked out and this happened

up against my routine reminder that i need a lot more patience. getting inspired by cool yakuza music and sitting down to make a tune and getting frustrated it's not just emerging fully formed after 10 minutes...trying to draw a complete sketch in 5 minutes...it doesn't work like that!

meant to finish this one last month but, you know how it is. i never draw azure's ribbon properly but i've been drawing enough ribbon-like hair to go for it this time. it's tough but lines are a lot of fun

(puts off lineart to rest arm until 10pm) "ugh i should at least put something down to pick up tomorrow, i'll just do the head and hair and call it for the night (hits my usual 20 minute timer) (hits the break timer) oops art is fun it turns out

well renpy refuses to build for some reason. this bodes poorly for when i actually work on cotv2 again in any capacity...

hey if i could stop getting motivated to start project 6 the sequel to project 4 before i finish project 1 of 3 that would be great

new dream development: b plot that gets called back to after a long series of tangents that somehow reaches a conclusion. there was real cohesion in that one, my brain wants to write apparently

i would like to stop feeling like [compilation of every time a kamen rider takes enough damage to untransform and fall to the ground in slo-mo] every day so i'm forcing myself to draw anything to escape this dang slump. i draw hoodies a lot but never with the hood up so, here's one.

spending an hour running through a stream idea i’m physically incapable of realizing until i get a headache and go to bed early

the deeper we slide into this moment the clearer it gets that "morale" is not a fake concept. pepping up your guys, showing each other unconditional love, loudly reaffirming things that are true, and making and engaging with uncompromising art are more important than ever. you gotta do it every day

i really want to be drawing stuff regularly and make characters people are interested in but then i have no ideas and my arm explodes and whenever i study i appear to have never known anything and i want to do longer term projects more anyway. i dunno this social media thing is weird

had another night of waking up like six times but half of those dreams i woke up into one which was my usual day so the layers are getting more convoluted. renko i’m sleepy

the usb i use to backup my projects seems to have died after less than a year and plugging it in maybe 20 times total, so that’s cool

there are a lot of things i want to get better at but i have *got* to get more confident in writing because i am truly incapable of writing even basic dialogue that doesn’t make me want to shrivel up into a ball even if it’s literally fine
