Thanks Katharine. I'm super excited to have you in the anthology, and to start sharing some of our authors' work at the zoom reading!

We're seeking first line readers for Triangulation: Dark Hearts. Let me know if you'd like to join the team!
Cover showing a painting of two faces, back to back, made with swirling colors a little like peacock feather eyes.
Unfortunately due to lower book sales, the coming uncertainty in the US and budget issues, I am reluctantly putting the "Mmeory" open call for spring of 2025 on hold for now. I'll update everyone in a few months with any news. Apologies for those working on submissions already.

If youβre afraid that books might change someoneβs thinking, youβre not afraid of books, youβre afraid of thinking.
Uhhh, hi! It's me, Bookshop.org, a place to buy books online where every purchase financially supports indie bookstores instead of some billionaire.
βͺHey #booksky: want to avoid Amazon for books?
Ebooks: Nook, Apple, GooglePlay&Kobo have apps for any device.
Print books: bookshop.org benefits small bookstores
Audiobooks: there are a zillion audiobook distributors
All 3: USE THE LIBRARY (they pay authors)

I'm doing this! Parsec meeting Nov 16.
So far, weβve received a number of fantasy and horror pieces for Dark Hearts. We want science fiction, too! We love anything speculative, but right now sci-fi is a less competitive genre.
This is your reminder that writing is a political action.
I woke up to a bunch of submissions in my inbox this morning. I can't wait to dig in π₯°
I love this cover.

Sticker design for Dark Hearts
I spent yesterday designing stickers and postcards for the Scribble House Lit fest (www.scribblehousepgh.com/litfest/) later this month.
Here is my sticker design:

I'm excited to be driving from Pittsburgh to Reading, PA to go to the IX Art Show today. I follow some amazing artists on Bluesky who will be showing art there. It will be awesome to finally see your work in person.
Good advice.
One week until we open for submissions! Triangulation: Dark Hearts will be looking for speculative stories about women who are anti-heroes.
