University of Chicago Press Journals: Cookie absent
New from Jen Darling-Aduana, @dave-woo.bsky.social, and me: We observed lessons in an online charter school to understand instructional quality. Teacher Shortages Are ImprovingβWith Two Big Exceptions
New job posting data suggests staffing support needs to be targeted at particular areas.
βThis is why we should not talk about teacher staffing challenges in a generic way" (me from last week).
I'm pretty sure this is what will be written on my tombstone.
Read more about post-pandemic teacher staffing challenges in this @edweek.bsky.social article.

2. not processed for over 6 months, stating they could not find an AE to handle it. i eventually pull it.
3. after 2 r&rs, reject. 4 reviewers the 1st round, 1 new after the 2nd, and 2 more new (who did not know it was a revision) after minor revisions. 7 total reviewers, at least 2 state accept.

My last 3 manuscript submissions at one prominent journal:
1. not reviewed for nearly a year. after multiple emails, they asked for suggested reviewers. got 5 in depth reviewers. after revisions, only 1 seemingly reviewed again and after 6 months, editors decisioned reject from that 1 review
