After a successful run in London, I hope you and this play somehow make your way to NYC. I would love to go see it!
Sadly, I was replaced by a computer. π
My presentation today at The Public Theater for The Peopleβs Filibuster.
I'm honored to be a part of an amazing lineup Saturday at The Public Theater. It's The People's Filibuster and it includes a number of Broadway stars. I'm scheduled to read my text between 2 and 3. The event will be livestreamed.

I want to give credit where it's due. It's Charlie Pellett who says "Stand clear of the closing doors." I'm best known for saying, "Please stand away from the platform edge."
Hi, Sarah! Here are two clips where you can hear my voice. The first is when I introduced myself to the crowd and the second is when I introduced Mayor Mamdani. www.youtube.com/live/tL4y7rY...

Thanks, Justin! For someone transitioning from male to female hormones don't do anything for your voice. You have to learn how to reuse your voice and manipulate it to sound more feminine.
You really have to be home sick to miss Route 22! π€£
I β€οΈ NY but I'll always be a Cranford girl! Side note: I've lived in NJ for all but six months of my life.
That's Charlie Pellett. I'm the voice that tells you to, "Please stand away from the platform edge."
I think you meant to send this to Bernie Sanders, not to me.
Most oof my career was in an ancillary field, radio. In recent years I've found myself doing a few high-profile voice acting jobs. I agree, I love actors, and all creatives, as people. While I've been typecast as a subway announcer, what I love is the opportunity to be someone I'm not.
Hi! I tend to use Rahway when I'm traveling on weekends and holidays. I'll use Cranford the rest of the time. Sometimes I'll even use one of the Morris & Essex stations, just to try something different.
I took the train from Rahway.
Thank you! I wish I could say that was my announcement. Charlie Pellett is the voice behind, "Stand clear of the closing doors." I'm the voice telling you how long before your train arrives and, "Please stand away from the platform edge."
I was also thrilled to be the first to publicly introduce Mayor Mamdani and First Lady Rama Duwaji.
The start of the inauguration. They gave me an opportunity to introduce myself to the crowd.
Believe it or not, Chad. I still publish the newsletter every weekday. This year will mark the 28th anniversary of the newsletter!
Actually, that was me. Charlie says "Stand clear of the closing doors." I say, "Please stand away from the platform edge."
Sometimes it feels as if the US and the UK are in a contest to see who can be the worst for trans folks.
Thank you, Lila!
Wow, really? As you might guess from my last name, my ancestors came from Germany (in the 1850s). To have a mention in a German textbook is quite cool! Is it possible to send me a link?
I'm so happy I could make you and others feel included yesterday!
Thank you, Becca!
Thank you!
Happy new year, Julia!
There are two swearing in ceremonies. The first is a private event in the old subway station. The public one is Thursday afternoon outside City Hall.

The new year starts off on a high note for me. I'll be the announcer for the inauguration of Zohran Mamdani as the next mayor of the City of New York.
