I met her a few years back at a sodden boat festival showing off her vintage wooden sailboat she and her husband built in the 70’s when they were still dating.

It didn’t take me long to realize she’s been the driving force behind all things sailing in that relationship because her husband doesn’t..

Ive got similar going on with a late 70’s woman who’s a refugee from Crimea because she’s ethnic tartar Russian. We sit around in the diner together and talk about sailing.
