I *know* Google is spying on me via my android. My husband & I had an obscure convo about castor oil & my feed was suddenly filled with stories & ads for...you guessed it! The only solution is to turn off the phone which, of course, defeats the purpose of having one.

Undoubtedly, Covid & Flu vaccinations have saved millions of lives by mitigating the severity of infections, vastly decreasing hospitalizations and minimizing deaths. The proof is in the data.

I'm making serious vaccine decisions in light of the fact I don't qualify for Medicare until next month. Got the flu covered out of pocket, but Covid, pneumonia & RSV are a whole 'nother story.

As a big believer in 12-Step programs, this new iteration is incredibly exciting & hopeful. The only drawback is successful participants have to believe in some sort of higher power. (That's a big stumbling block for some of us.)

THIS is such a perfect example of how needs rarely coincide with availability. Now look at food production vs. food distribution. There's no reason for half the world to starve.

My husband's story in Wyoming. Retiring with a smaller pension has SAVED us money! But, I worry about those kids we feed for years.

Hubby was a secondary teacher in a juvenile detention center & later a rural K-12 classroom teacher. For years, we spent $300 a month (min) to provide "extra" food to hungry kids. No country that tolerates hunger is a country I'll claim. (Since he retired, I'm tormented by worries for those kids.)

We've always know Zuck sucks. Money is far more important than decency.

My backyard view into the protected BLM (US Dept of the Interior) & privately-owned, infinitely-protected conservation lands. No one can ever build across from my view! (Did not know that when I bought the property 20 years ago.)

View across the river from me. Mule deer cross at a shallow spot a 100 feet east (right) of this shot. We also have a tribe of ~30 bighorn sheep who drink from the wash below the Sphinx formation across from us. What you see is protected conservation land with limited access to trusted neighbors.

We're on a spot on the Wind River where the mule deer cross all winter long between the red badlands & green foothills. They come every year to hang with us, but CWD has wiped out 75% of our annual herd. Always thrilled to recognize returnees!
