Tragic and unecesaary cruelty
Happy Friday from Hell (Portland). Wanted you all to see what itβs like to live in hell. Did you know people raise chickens here? #portlandislikehell #pdx #keepportlandboring
I long for the days when this is our biggest problem in the US

Wow the Democratic Party looks so weak right now. Stand Up, Do Your Job!! Fight Back. Be like Al Green
Hmm, I got bit by mosquitos today. Somethingβs not right. Itβs February, in Oregon. #whereiswinter

Remember that time when we helped a country end a fascist dictatorship? Letβs do that again.
Iβm sure these sheep are also smarter and donβt blindly follow cult leaders like non solar farm sheep do!
Great to be back at UChicago Institute of Politics tonight. Tune in.
Can confirm
This is a lie. The Oregon coast is actually ugly and you should definitely not move there. It rains all the time and Oregonians are bad drivers.

Iβm already bored of Blue Sky. Maybe Iβm just not a social media person? Canβt seem to get the algorithm to show me anything besides rants about Trump policies or random pet photos. Is that all that is happening in the world?
Thank you Jesse, these job harming policies might turn out to be the single most harmful thing happening to our economy since Covid. We have already heard from investors they are reconsidering their investments in the US and βslimming their staffβ. I hope people are enjoying their cheap eggs.
All energy projects receive subsidies
This article is misleading. To me this is no different than the utilities in Oregon today who deliver nuclear power to their customers.
Diversity is key to maintaining a reliable system and achieving our decarb goals

Fair? Donβt even get me started on whatβs fair! Direct access for large energy consumers is a viable solution to keeping the cost of new infrastructure needed to accommodate this new load out of captured customer rates.
Itβs a puzzle and bubbles with the cat kinda night
At least eight Republicans urged their tax-writing colleagues on Wednesday to preserve tax credits created or expanded by Democratsβ climate law that the lawmakers said have brought jobs and investment to their districts. The testimony by GOP lawmakers at the House Ways and Means Committeeβs member day hearing illustrates the challenge facing Republicans as they craft a tax package to be passed via reconciliation, which is expected to repeal at least parts of the Inflation Reduction Act and help offset any revenue losses.

This Bill title from the Oregon Legislative session doesn't worry me at all: "Makes corporations eligible to serve on juries."
Thanks for this reminder Jesse. Iβd also encourage folks to keep track of state policies. States still have lots of leeway to pass policies supporting decarbonization, even if the Federal Gov is not aligned with them.
Looks like we might have roughly 30 minutes without a presidential administration, what can we get done? Permitting reform anyone?
Trump won largely thanks to America's outrage about inflation & rising costs. Yet repealing clean energy policies enhanced/expanded by the Inflation Reduction Act as Trump proposes could raise avg household energy costs by up to $489/year @rhodiumgroup.bsky.social finds rhg.com/research/tru... π€ ππ‘
