Holy shit the colors here are so good!
Yet again, the entire FF series can go here. Despite growing up with Zelda, Final Fantasy was the series that games could be used to tell emotional stories. I first played it when Sephiroth came to Smash, and proceeded to be plagued by FF brainrot for the entirety of High-school lmao.
Like Zelda, the entire Souls series can go here. I put DS3 because the super fast paced epic anime lookin ass fights, as well as a romanticized view of the grotesque end of a fantasy world, come to mind immediately when I think of this series. Even with Elden Ring, I think DS3 does this well.
SotC more than Ico (Ico is still a goated game don't get me wrong) made me discover I love to explore and just exist in virtual worlds and by extension irl. Other games often have incentive to do stuff, most of the fun for me in this game was just riding around and seeing natural oddities in it.
I have never played Crusader Kings One, but I regularly come back to the third one (it wasn't on the list). If Zelda had started my interest in fantasy and by extension the middle ages, CK3 solidified it. I love being able to create border gore that would make even the HRE nauseous.
Metroid Dread was honestly just a super solid gaming experience! I'm not really a long time Metroid fan, but I really loved how Samus and the Chozo were portrayed, and that one scene (you know the one) sits in my head rent free.
Silent Hill 2 is like THE most video essayed game ever, so you probably already know why I love it. I had already played the first SH and I liked it a lot! But then I played this, and it got under my skin in a way few have. A narrative masterpiece in my eyes as well, with how characters are written.
For Pentiment, it probably won't ever have as big of an influence as other things on here, but it is both so good and also one of my favorite games that I'm putting it here anyways. Medieval/Early Modern Period Murder Mystery that nearly made me cry. I don't cry at video games a lot, if ever!
I put Twilight Princess on here, but really the entire Zelda series has influenced me a great bunch! TP just happens to be my favorite. I was introduced to the series at a very young age, so to say it was heavily responsible into the reason I love the Middle Ages and Fantasy is an understatement.
Edelgard's story definitely stuck with me the most, probably because I started with Black Eagles, but I love how she is written throughout the entire game, and once I finish the other routes I will probably feel that way towards the other characters lol.
Fire Emblem Three Houses is definitely the most recent out of all the ones I've played here. I was introduced to the series by my University DnD group, and once I had played Three Houses, I can say with certainty I have never been so invested in a world and characters since forever.

I've chosen these three mainly based off of how much of an impact they've had on me. Both in a "it changed me" way as well as me just liking the game! I'll go more in depth into why I like them below for anyone curious.

Art of a man staring at himself through some sort of frame. His face is half covered by the darkness, obscuring and abstracting his body and features. His hand is poised to touch his own face as if to try and confirm what he sees is real.
Who are you?
Art I made for a University exhibition :]
True!
I love this
Thanks :D
Iβd really rather not talk about it right now
hehe thanks
Heβs so cool
A rough sketch of a disturbed manβs face. Half of it is covered in darkness, blurring his features.
I was making thumbnail sketches for an artwork I want to make for a university exhibition and lowkey I think I cooked a lot harder than I needed to with this
The colors are so good in this! I love how you used cooler colors throughout, but made the background a warm color for contrast!
