They saw how Cassidy got pants'd and they want to get pants'd by a nutcase too

Today’s a great day to call your Senators and congressional representatives
Tell them they had better not vote for any supplemental funding for the DoD to continue this unauthorized war. We’re watching
Once you know them, you can’t unsee them everywhere. Today we run through the laws of the office that explain why good employees turn into bad bosses, why meetings never end early, and why performance metrics end badly so often.

Today I got to judge the Connecticut state science fair. If you have never done it, I highly recommend you check it out. The level of work being done by middle and high school students is amazing. Many clubs, industry organizations, and businesses offer prizes and allow any member to judge for them.
Nice
Do these death numbers include deaths caused by cars, pedestrians and cyclists?
Especially when your most dedicated readers are very pro writer’s voices and anti ai.
You could just ignore the union comment. They are scared someone might get more money or control away from them.
Yep, that’s why you have to be an expert, because it hallucinates a lot
No, those still exist today.
This is the kind of shit (pun not intended) @democrats.org need to hammer from now until 2028
We’re spending a billion dollars a day to bomb Iran and raise prices on everything, while DOGE Republicans stole needed funds to improve our nation’s infrastructure
Because then the could unionize and demand a real slice of the pie
Good luck, one great piece of advice I got was to sell your resume with dollars. How much money you saved the company or how much new business you bought in, etc. companies eat that up even more than technical competence.
The funnier thing was I knew exactly the engineer he was talking about.
🙄
An enormous ice cream sundae. Two people have set up ladders in the sundae. They are falling off the ladders because the sundae was an unsafe place to set up a ladder. The text reads: Warm weather means ladders. Set up your ladder on a firm, flat (non-ice cream) surface and make sure you have a spotter!
Set up your ladder on a firm, flat surface. Do not set up your ladder in a large ice cream sundae.
So many times
It will be my first trip, so I’m excited for it. I can’t believe we’ve lived here for a decade with them only four hours away and haven’t been yet.
I worked with an engineering supervisor who said when we had a difficult job and we underbid the design hours, he would give it to his laziest engineer. The laziness meant that they would find the most efficient way to get it done in the fewest possible hours.
Give me a tight deadline and I can do a weeks work in 4 hours. Give me a week to do four hours worth of work and it’ll take a week and a half.
Once again: this is @davidjbier.bsky.social, of the [Even the Conservative...] @cato.org, an expert on immigration policy who has been providing data based expertise on the issue of immigration for a while now.
Two stegosaurus mugs stacked on top of each rather in front of some brown decorative grass.
That sounds fun. So far our only planned trip this summer is to the Adirondack mountains. There will likely be a trip to Myrtle Beach to visit family as well.
A group of us in the Senate are demanding public hearings on Trump's disastrous war with Iran with Secretary Hegseth and Rubio. And we've introduced a half dozen war powers resolutions to force the Senate to vote every day on the war if the hearings don't happen.
In our second year we had a project where fifth year seniors got to critique before the professors. Let’s just say that a lot of phalluses were recognized on out tower projects.
In architecture school we had critiques every week and a few times a semester we would have large presentations and critiques. Professors usually did a good job of both praising and challenging projects. For students it was mostly criticism.
The only way I keep it in check is by having a reoccurring reminder that I need to get a haircut.
The weather is getting warmer and you know what that means - ladder falls.
Shoot me a DM. My company wants to do some video/podcast type stuff, but we don’t have any video or audio editing experience. One of our offices is in the central Hudson Valley.
It wouldn’t be full time but it’s a start.
I say it time and again, ai should be treated as an intelligent intern. They have tons of information and theory available, but no life expectancies to filter it by. You need to be an expert in whatever you are asking it to do, so you can check its work.
