Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy with the pace of progress, it’s more the fact that we (and the likes of Villa) are restricted by the manufactured rules, elite club lobbying (think back to Levy) and constructs like coefficients etc., which are significant roadblocks in the way of progress.
I don’t mind our pace at all, it’s just the glass ceiling that’s been imposed. All the while we’re trying to break through, the elites are on the other side are further stacking the game in their favour.
