Time to get some events up and running again. First up a cheeky little one day event.

A bit apprehension taking an army I’d never played to an event but carnage is always a fun event and glad I did. 3-2 and a painting nomination. Best result to date.

Maybe actually 3rd May so we don’t clash with the Upminster folks.

Provisional date for next one day event @ Langden Games, Ipswich will be 19th April. Will confirm later this week.

Thanks. Although it’s mainly all bone I’ve found it quite a challenge to pick out the details enough. The people armour is just enough to frame where the colours are quite desaturated so I’m quite happy and they are quite quick to paint

Thanks. I was worried I’d gone too washed out with the bone colours but once they were based it all came together ok. The pink helps the purple a lot too.

Back to my OBR spearhead. Got a small league lined up for January hopefully encourage all those new players who get a spearhead for Christmas to dip their toe in.

All the slaves to darkness talk got me curious. Guess I’m painting slaves now 😳

I started with the iron scale and I do love her combat ability and the reroll charge is pretty neat. This was a chance to test the Medusa. It’s much of a muchness I think although having two run and charges available is a good utility and spell casting when morathi dies is also handy.

Was the stand in today as we had a drop. To table game 3 and it’s a morathi mirror. Probably the cleanest best Warhammer I’ve played and it went down right to the end. My opponent taking the win courtesy of a 1” redeploy. Love playing DoK at the moment it’s just so much fun

All because of a 5” redeploy turn one denying a charge on a flank. Shadow Queen then did her thing :). She can be such a bully sometimes. Not every game though.

I should dig mine out. Much cleaner job than mine really nice :)
