As your local aromantic/asexual I ask you to imagine the terror of your sexuality being "wrong". Imagine needing to explore those feelings online, bc you can't otherwise. For whatever reason, shame or harm, you decide to stop but struggle and look for help. Then imagine these losers told everyone.

I always pointed that out to people, because the headlines would be "bill proposed in NH House would..." and then "do the Handmaid's Tale" or whatever, and I'd calmly explain how easy it is for a total weirdo to become a state rep.
