I haven’t been there since I was a kid, but kid me loved the CN tower. I could imagine you climbing it like that building in Adventures in Babysitting.

#ShabbatShalom I’ve been really busy and I need a day of rest. I hope nothing terrible happens while I’m offline.
… require more extreme misdirection and illusion than they ever accomplished on stage to get America, and the world, out of the biggest mess it’s ever seen.
… a combination of protest votes and just for laughs votes and low turnout results in a surprise landslide for President Penn Gillette and Vice President Teller (who, by never talking, truly captures the essence of the job). Now, they will face a hostile Congress and global challenges that will …
PENN AND TELLER RUN AMERICA
When the serious Democratic and Republican presidential candidates destroy each other in the primaries, both parties nominate empty suits and Penn & Teller launch a Pat Paulson-style independent campaign as a joke. But dirt comes out on both major party candidates and …
DHS nominee Markwayne Mullin is one of the most active stock-traders in the Senate — and violated the STOCK Act against insider trading as recently as last August.
He currently holds stock in L3Harris, which has millions in contracts with ICE and FEMA.
The grift continues.
Another reminder that billionaires are not billionaires because they are smart.
They are rich because they are broken in a way that allows them to completely ignore morality in order to gather more wealth in a doomed attempt to fill the unfillable hole inside them.
There’s nothing radical about separating the reporting and writing functions. That worked very well at Time Magazine. But it’s no reason to conclude that the writer should be AI.
Very interesting. I was logical — but wrong.
Named for the writer of Stray Cat Strut?
Spontaneous is a Purim movie.
It’s a margarita burn.
I saw it in a Dolby Cinema at an AMC with COVID safety upgrades. Besides enjoying it very much, I was pleased that it achieved its creative goals (as stated in interviews). It was a WSS for our time that commented on the original without diminishing it in any way.

The beauty of a non-algorithmic feed.
The ban gave the government six months to stop because it’s absolutely impossible to stop using any software vendor without a long and expensive project to extract it. Six months is aggressive. A year would be reasonable. Two years would be the low-risk option. Five for Salesforce.
Because #Purim is next Tuesday, we’re having a Persian #Shabbat sort of. The rice recipe is 100% Persian. The wine is Shiraz. But the lamb is chops. #ShabbatShalom
CBS, Fox, the Washington Post, and Twitter are all owned by Trump-loving billionaires and soon CNN will be too. Here's why American media has a liberal bias problem.
Analysis | If the right-wing Ellisons are allowed to purchase CNN, they could order Jake Tapper to obsessively focus on Biden's age, or demand that Van Jones to say Trump truly became president today, or allow Scott Jennings to brazenly tell baldfaced lies on a nightly basis.
Reading the memo, Lisa Rubin is right, Blanche is instructing that 302s be FLAGGED. The memo does not instruct that they should be removed. So, it’s not a smoking gun. But it does show that the process made it easier for bad actors to find the documents they wanted to suppress.

This guy has made a little industry for himself of going to Orthodox Jewish enclaves and making antisemitic videos.
Drop someone MASKED
And my point is that this is where the boundary is drawn. AI may make every career like screenwriting: there’s room for about 3000 people who have voices that nobody can duplicate, but there’s no room for hacks, like there once was back in Hollywood’s Golden Age.
The horse analogy isn’t apt. Yes, it’s true that what most people do most of the time doesn’t require anything that only they can bring as a unique human being. Just as most driving doesn’t require the skill of Formula One. But AI doesn’t make its user special, because, “If everyone’s special…”
I don’t see how the way statistical model-based AI works can ever generate wisdom-based judgment or lived experience-based creativity. Certainly, there’s a lot that can be accomplished by just grinding away without those, but it’s not anything that can’t be accomplished by anyone else.
Just about one more month and my winter runny nose will turn into my summer runny nose.
If it makes you feel any better, I think you may be on to a lucrative franchise.
If, God forbid, 2028 would be Vance vs. Newsom, it would be a win either way for the tech broligarchs. They would have succeeded in replacing the two-party system.
Yes. The name Gedde Watanabe comes to mind.
