Fight back against fascism: how big money is threatening democracy
Fascism thrives when democracy falters. From funding Reform to vigilance, here’s how we protect our future
“All donations that originate from abroad, no matter who is the final donor, should be banned. Only UK citizens should be allowed to donate to British political organisations. This would, by necessity mean no donations from private companies; PLCs, LTDs..”

I understand the sentiment behind dry January, but if you don't want to commit to this, I've an alternative.
Pub January, where you stop in at your local hostelry, have a drink and support a sector that is in danger of shrinking into obscurity, and with it a large of part of our heritage.

CHILDS Framework
A simple and effective framework for bringing the best care to the children and young people who need it the most.
Useful website to bookmark for free webinars on primary care topics from south London paediatricians. These are really useful from attendance as a GP.

Baroness Charlotte Owen's supposedly can’t be discussed in the press because of a super injunction.
The only reason for a super injunction would be because she is in fact Johnson’s daughter.
She and all the other unqualified grifters need to be kicked out of the House of Lords

Having too good a career, being too clever, or being too nice is now a negative prognostic factor for success. It’s doubly bad if you’re a confident female.

Every one of these doctors needs a career and a future.
We need more training numbers.
We also need to support the careers of anyone who chooses or finds themselves without a training number.
Both are part of the solution.

In my area we have 2,751 patients per GP: 1,600 is recommended. Just give them the money, Wes.
(Also eyecare, dentists, community care - all underfunded.)

Today like every week day 1.3m people will consult in General Practice
1/30 will need emergency care at A&E
1/5 will need a referral to another NHS service for investigation or treatment in the future
GP practices have been dealing with 20% more patients than 2019
5.6% of the budget

The NHS – Joys, sorrows, losses and gains
The NHS needs policymakers to listen to experienced staff, the public and patients in shaping it for decades, not just the next five years
GP for the past 30yr & have had a front seat in the journey of the #NHS
Each day I sit with people who need, want & must access the various services provided
Joy, sorrow, loss and gain, but for the most part the NHS is loved, despite its failings

Realised I don't want everything to be lost when I leave X - & here's a tweet I'd like to save for posterity.
7 years ago, curled up in bed with grief, I posted this & it went round the world, & the astounding response made me cry with gratitude.
Our magnificent, battered NHS.
I love you, Dad 💙

Reform UK MP jailed for 'repeatedly kicking his ex girlfriend'
He had not publicly disclosed the conviction before he was elected as an MP and downplayed the attack as a “teenage indiscretion”.
Reform MP James McMurdock (won his seat by 98 votes) didn't disclose his conviction for assaulting his partner before the GE
He went on to describe it as a "teenage indiscretion"
The Times now reveals he "kicked his girlfriend" repeatedly

NHS England with the then Govt told us last Winter there were 5000 extra hospital beds
The Board have said that that these beds were ‘locked in’ permanently for the future
The latest available figures imply that they were less than transparent with the public making themselves look good

We hear a lot about the financial problems that NHS Trusts and general practices face. But community pharmacies also face similar funding challenges, exacerbated by additional problems such as dealing with drug shortages. Pharmacies provide many essential services and also need our support.
