Laser shotgun absolutely needs help, on my list! And the pile bunker thing is very high praise indeed, definitely went all in to try and get it to feel right haha
For sure, and I know that'll happen. Just trying to make sure I catch these things well before launch haha. Waaaay better to see complaints than to see nothing at all!
No prob :D I'm new to game development so I know there are things I could do better. Your post made me think it could be worth providing people that option during profile creation instead of only mentioning it in the text-heavy raid tutorial, so I'm glad I found it!
RIG Riot's demo is live on Steam as of today! Check it out if you'd like :D
Sorry to hear that! You can turn off the auto-pause in the gameplay settings if you'd like- no worries if you still aren't feeling it though ๐
New devlog about the steam playtest is now available to watch: youtu.be/G9kzJYfq6yM
Love how this looks!
Thanks for sharing about the game! I've always been a huge fan of handheld gaming so I knew I wanted to be able to run my game on the go. It also just feels right for a roguelike, y'know?
Hey folks, the open playtest for my Mech-Action Roguelike, RIG Riot, is available on Steam! Any and all feedback is welcome, especially now that I'm on the road toward the demo!
#mech #mechs
I keep forgetting this site exists ๐ I put a big update out for the playtest the other day, hoping to start the steam playtest in early May!
You can try my mech-action roguelike if you want

Nightreign is gonna be so rad, glad to see FromSoft playing with roguelike gameplay- for my sake I'm just glad they started with Souls instead of Armored Core for that ๐
Thanks much! Can't wait to play Drop Command, I think we're targeting similar release windows, though I'm probably less decided ๐

Closer and closer
Super excited to finally try this one out! Really hoping "core-like" can become a more widespread subgenre
regular reminder that it's very useful to indie devs if you review their games on steam, especially if their games have less than 10 reviews.
games can't have positive ratings on steam until they hit the 10 review mark, and they get a boost in discoverability when they hit this threshold ๐
Super rad- love the leg transformation concept
Little teaser from the most recent working build ๐
I was pretty excited to see it- as a serial early-game replayer it felt like a game that was made with exactly my interests in mind.
I literally started game development due to this feeling ๐ nothing else quite scratches the same itch
On the bright side this does introduce the opportunity to restructure some things about my mod system to allow for better synergies and emergent gameplay so it's not all bad- just mostly bad
Game development is already hard but it's tough to have to also reckon with 10-year-old bugs with core data types in your engine of choice. Anyway, I now get to totally reimplement the structures and management of the settings and game state in my game. Thanks Unreal
Hoping to get this thing actually announced with a trailer and Steam page mid-January, shooting to have it ready by the end of December. Super excited about this game and looking forward to seeing what everyone else thinks of it!
Love the visual style you have going on here
