One day course
Join our specialist dentistry team for a 1 day, interactive, in-person training course to learn about how to improve oral care for people with neuro-disability.
Teresa Clark, Consultant Physiotherapist at the RHN, recently delivered a webinar lecture to the Australian College of Physiotherapists on the topic: “Do prolonged stretch interventions (splinting and serial casting) have a place in contracture management? Disentangling the evidence base.”
Well done and thank you to Dudley Green for completing a 3-day cycle from London to Paris, raising £800 for the RHN in honour of his son James, one of our residents.
Dudley said, "James' life has been saved and enriched by this amazing place."

To celebrate Long-Term Ventilation Day, we held our very first event at the RHN to honour our patients and the work done by our nursing team. It was day filled with patient stories, engaging activities, all focused on raising awareness around Long-Term Ventilation.
Patients and residents supported by Art, Music Therapy and Compass Teams have worked together to create a sign that will go above the recently opened Music Therapy Room!
You will be able to see the results in real life at the upcoming RHN Art Room exhibition: Emerge! on the 14th and 15th of June 🎨
Can brain injury patients be safely weaned off anti-seizure meds?
At the 2025 ABN conference, Marcus Chan, Catherine O’Mahony, and Lloyd Bradley shared that only 12.6% of 114 ABI patients had seizures after being weaned off anti-seizure meds, from a review of 320 cases.
