At the Kings game tonight during one of the first few, they told the audience that Bam scored 83, a lot of people around me were in genuine disbelief. Someone said "who?"

in the game Luka like 2 years ago got 73, they were doubling Luka off ball and the game was close enough they couldnt just force feed it to him. Or else he probably would have gotten to 80+
While technically there's a faster time they don't actually have video evidence so everyone acts like it doesn't really exist
Explaining Bam Adebayo's 83 point night in video game terms:
Imagine if the like 50th place person on the Super Mario 64 120 Star leaderboard got a 5 minute PB to get the WR out of nowhere
There is simply not an "ethical" way to score 100 pts. At a certain point you will be chucking having guys pass up going to the basket just to pass it to you
I'm okay with people calling this unethical but people saying Kobe's 81 point game *was* is so funny. There's no way you actually watched the Kobe game because I think his teammates took like 3 shots in the 4th quarter.
Plus fouling up 20+ points to let Bam pass Kobe is hilarious.
Kings legends
With some of those 2nd half turnovers some are calling it the most unethical blown lead of all time
I got a free camera top
Some of the turnovers looked ON PURPOSE
DEVIN CARTER CAREER NIGHT
KILLIAN HAYES ANALYTICS MASTERCLASS
20 POINT COMEBACK TO MESS UP THE TANK
SACRAMENTO CALIFORNIA GREATEST CITY IN THE WORLD
LIGHT THE BEAM
Ok now its the Pacers who are playing even worse. Devin Carter and Killian Hayes playing for their careers have made the Kings tank vanish. Putrid hoops
It's Y2K night. Biggest game of the year
My guy, wait until you see what he did in the full 4 quarters
No lie I genuinely cannot believe Bam Adebayo of all players is the one who took down Kobe lmfao
Russ didnt even take a heave to end the half. Russ of all guys. Honestly it feels blatant lmfao
I genuinely believe the Kings are playing worse than normal on purpose. This is some of the worst basketball I've ever seen
Cant imagine anything else more interesting happening in the NBA today
As bad as advertised so far ๐
Big dog its not a big deal its just a lot of free throws. I just said I respect it. Its just a ridiculous amount of free throws lmfao
I only watched the final few minutes of the game from my seat here at the Kings game and I do respect all the fouling to force him to pass Kobe but no one should take 43 free throws in the game
It's a HUGE game tonight here at the Golden 1 Center. The Pacers are in town in the battle of the 30 seed, loser gets the worst record in the NBA, so you KNOW I had to get the best seats in the house to watch YOUR Sacramento Kings hopefully not LIGHT THE BEAM
What do you MEAN Bam Adebayo passed Kobe Bryant by shooting 43 free throws???
Fake news is getting out of control, theyre trying to tell me Bam Adebayo scored 43 points in a single half of a basketball game. Okay.

The issue I have with the way people use analytics is they refuse to use these numbers to analyze what you see on the court. Instead, people use them as prescriptive numbers assigning how good someone is. Basketball isnt baseball. Results arent even close to independent.
People point to EPM, which Derrick White is 9th in actual EPM, as being good and reliable so White must be up there as a top player in thr league. Meanwhile Ty Jerome is 5th. If you want to say Ty Jerome is a top player in the league I'm just gonna laugh.
The debate over whether Derrick White is a "top 5 player based on analytics" is an interesting one. Because Derrick White is just clearly not a top 5 player. And public 1 number analytics are very bad at actually evaluating talent. It does a good job of evaluating results but they're bad at context
The Pelicans arent tanking and will get quite a few more wins
Jazz are somewhat of a threat, Kings got a game remaining against them
Two more games against the Nets and if they at least split those, being a bottom 3 team is all but guarenteed
