I do that too! They make their way to the top and I can help them out. I also always leave the lid propped open an inch or two.

Yes I get Yellow legged mining bees but I think I’ve only seen a single Ashy mining bee here in the last few years.

Yes, I love this time of year and looking out for all the different insect species as they emerge. It’s a pity it’s about to get colder again though!
