It's always seemed to me that being a part of an armed underground movement is more hell than romance, and things like The Baader Meinhoff Complex and Say Nothing capture that well -- but I can't believe Say Nothing spends a whole ep humanizing the torturer of IRA hunger strikers.

I guess people have been saying this since it aired but the penultimate ep of S1 of PARADISE might be one of the best hours of TV ever made. I have a pull to federal disaster management problems, obviously, but the melodrama woven through the realist apocalyptic practicals is tremendous television.
