Glazing has long been really challenging for me. I can get too excited about a glaze and then suddenly I have 40 thousand of them. The actual decorating/glazing part can feel overwhelming though. Hang in there!

But really, the full glaze kiln load cycle is around 28-30 hours when it’s this packed from lid closed to lid open and I don’t even wait for it to get to room temp.

Today would be my Gran’s 107th birthday. Also is the anniversary of the death of my favorite outlaw ( my MIL’s longtime partner, they never got married.) It always tickled Tom to be called that.
Weird, bittersweet day. I’m happy to be heading toward spring tho.

Hmmmm. Glaze kiln took two hours longer than last time. Granted, I bought two more levels worth of shelves (& I should’ve gotten 3) so there’s definitely more work in there than last time, so hopefully it doesn’t mean my elements are starting to fail.
