I reckon most Discworld books are timeless and always timely, but so much of ISWM still hits hard today
The Tiffany Aching Complete Collection
Of the five books, I Shall Wear Midnight is my favorite, though The Shepherd's Crown is the one that made me tear up. I can't recommend them enough, even if you've never read a Discworld book. They're perfect entry points and will get you excited for other Discworld books.

Finished The Shepherd's Crown! I tried to savor this one, as it's the last Tiffany Aching book (also the last Discworld book 🥲) and I'm not ready to leave these characters. Another terrific read, filled with optimism for the future - an apt ending, in many ways.
It's good to have colleagues who are avid fountain pen users. Just learned that one of the sampler inks I bought (Troublemaker, which does make some trouble) is dryer to use, and now I have a few inexpensive brands to try out if I want to.

After waffling for months about whether to get a new phone, I have now gotten used to the many quirks of my aging, seven-year-old Note 10+. Sure it's a little slower and the battery wasn't what it used to be, but so long I'm diligent with charging it still works well.

(The middle school portion of Silent Hill f is pretty great though, probably my fave area so far)
Still slowly chipping away at Silent Hill f. 30-40 min sessions are the best I could muster without feeling nauseated, though thankfully the game accommodates short sessions pretty well.
Gahhhhh holding out for the IMAX release of Whisper of the Heart in this part of the world! We've gotten Princess Mononoke last year, so here's hoping!
It's not a top Ghibli outing for many, but this is a personally important one for me, and an all-time classic.

I guess nearing 40 means having a mysterious nerve/muscle sore near the butt, which then curiously went away, only to return in the middle of the night making sleep rather uncomfortable, and then vanish in the daytime.

I got to test the Madoromi series of the Kakuno pens with the gold-colored nibs and they felt smoother to use. Now I'm mighty tempted to get one with a finer nib!
I've been blessed with good pens lately. My wife's Kakuno has converted me to fountain pens. I've bought a couple of ink samplers to try out, too, so that's something to look forward to.
Then my friend gifted me a Kokuyo ballpoint pen, which I've been using on-the-go regularly.
It appears that I may have partied* too hard yesterday.

I told my wife after we finished Nice Days that I could watch however many Baby Assassins movies they would put out and lo, turns out there's a Baby Assassins tv series! So that's one more series in our massive backlog.

I really love this movie series. Some of the best action scenes with truly spectacular actors and performers, and how it's also an oddly cozy hangout slice-of-life with two girls coming to terms with work, life, and everything in between. Who also happen to be really good assassins.

My late father was a retired gangster. He was a "Tai Lou" (Big Brother) and I didn't know the extent of how involved he was until his funeral, which went in part like a triad funeral.
Amazing how much of it was shielded from us. (Or maybe I was just daft).
I'd assume the Bluepoint devs would've been valuable for this strategy.
