That normal for a brand new drive? Do manufacturers test files on them then wipe/reset usage data?
hmm - bought a laptop HDD... came in a teeny jiffy bag. Was sealed in a small electrostatic bag - and label on HDD says made 2018!
Could it be old/used and had its usage data wiped/reset?
