@tomtugendhat.bsky.social ...I honestly think you're better than this complete tosh. Getting angry that people voted for British birds and animals is just bizarre. Take a step back π

Oh dear what a shame..
Of course the media that platforms company with only 8MPs, won't report this at all...

Ahem.." nonwhites and women" ... all the cause of suffering for those poor white blokes!
If you are one of the people criticising the decision that 'nature' will be the theme of our new banknotes, please note:
You are not criticising the government, nor Labour, nor the Chancellor, nor the Bank of England.
You are criticising the public, who chose 'nature' above all other options.
I've chosen to listen to podcasts this morning precisely because of this nonsense...oh and World service because... the world is in a pretty parlous state in case UK journalists haven't noticed π
When on earth did @eddavey.libdems.org.uk become so silly?? Being on the same side as Badenoch and Farage is a singularly bad idea
She really needs to get out more if an animal on banknote is deeply depressing. Just headshakingly absurd woman

Nigel Farage aide George Cottrell is betting $41,000 that the US war with Iran will last for another four months, despite Reform UK calling for an end to the conflict.

I think a severance payment is fairly standard. No doubt it'll be front page everywhere tomorrow for clicks π
Telling how confident Starmer now feels in owning his Iran decision. His best outing against Badenoch at PMQs in months. KB not alone in shifting her position. Many of those in the press and politics demanding war and condemning Starmer loudest have been far quieter since the inevitable chaos began.
Imagine being so perma-furious that you're now angry about birdsπ
That seems out of kilter with the general vibe IMO
Aren't they the ones shrieking to abolish the licence fee and defund the BBC?? Go on... how do you think they will pay for the TV rights??
They aren't supporting the war π
BREAKING: As many as 150 U.S. troops have been wounded in the war with Iran, according to sources familiarβfar higher than the Pentagonβs publicly disclosed figure of just 8 seriously wounded troops. The true toll of this war is already far worse than the public has been told. (Reuters)
Of course he's lying...why are we surprised??π
screenshot from the video Beth Rigby made at a petrol station in Buxton where Reform UK are subsidising prices to promote their proposal to cut fuel duty in the wake of the Iran War Shows a price board outside a petrol station which says diesel Β£1.68 a litre and unleaded petrol Β£1.46. That's about 20p over average today. These are the prices Nigel Farage is claiming that petrol and diesel were before their stunt where they climb up a ladder and change them for the adoring media who seem to think it's their job to follow every Reform UK stunt. You can tell Nigel Farage is lying because he's breathing. The petrol station info board has a badge on the top with the Reform UK logo which is a turquoise arrow pointing to the far right which was originally a house pushed over on it's side when it was the Brexit Party logo. It now says "Reform Refuel" above the prices where the brand of petrol station normally goes, and below the prices it should say 25P OFF WITH FARAGE and more advertising for Reform UK but now it says RIP OFF WITH FARAGE because I changed it in MS Paint.
Petrol / diesel in Birmingham this afternoon Β£1.33 / Β£1.48
vs
petrol / diesel in Farage's rip-off petrol station in Buxton Β£1.46 / &1.68

By sticking to the popular position on Donald Trumpβs Iran war, the Prime Minister has now forced his political opponents into an embarrassing reversal, argues @adambienkov.bsky.social
bylinetimes.com/2026/03/10/n...
Whilst this is absolutely true, the lie is continually repeated by far right Reform politicians and their news outlets because the people who tend to support Reform read the Daily Mail and are generally not that bright.
Has Reform artificially increased the price? It's about 20p/litre more than anywhere round here.. and we're expensive normally. I've seen other posts saying similar?!
His argument is now .. labour has spent so much money on welfare/ immigrants that we've got no money for defence. I'd put money on it!
On another matter.. Buxton really is taking the piss.. petrol here in my local (Cotswolds π) is Β£1.31 and that's having just bought a new lorry delivery.
π I know. It couldn't happen to a nicer man!
It's kind of an important part of his job tbf
