I read the New York Magazine article about Heared Rivalry and "the rise of the fujoshi", and I have many thoughts, but I think the thing that made me stop and stare into the middle distance was that apparently people think Hana Yanagihara's A Little Life may have originally been Marauders fanfic.

One of my kid's current favorite things is my FRUiTS anthologies. She calls them "fashion" and gets them off the shelf so we can look through them. I get that it's probably because they're colorful and she likes looking at pictures of people, but I can dream she'll love alt fashion one day.

I know those words/terms started out as ways to get around censorship, and though I know everyone uses them now, I also hope "underage women" was not. It absolutely sounds like brainrot internet bullshit, but it also feels more psy-op than censorship evasion.
