Novels I read..
Been loving japanese murder mysteries a lot..
I also watched Sarazanmai. Quite the trip. Mainly cuz of ikuhara. It was very camp and satisfying despite some pace issues.
Samurai champloo is one of the coolest anime ever. This time around I really fell for the Nakama and self realisation journey of mugen fuu and Jin
I rewatched hyouka(yes again)
And samurai champloo after almost 15 Years. Hyouka is always my yearly or bi yearly go to. But champloo stood out to me, not just nostalgia of 2000s but a great historical/sol/comedy with so much heart and representation of ainu/ryukuus culture
What I read/watched since Jan. Just an excuse to post something here.
Manga
& by mari okazaki is such a realistic, raw, painful yet beautiful story. it debates about how freedom can become a jail, how codependency eat us alive and how there's so much pressure on our shoulders that seeing the future becomes impossible
the anime opening for Boys Over Flowers is such an 80s sitcom theme song banger
a garden for just you and me....

The boys' volleyball team members of Shiratorizawa (Haikyuu) drawn in a round, colourful chibi art style against a solid magenta background. They're wearing their team uniforms, and "jumping" in a collage layout, each pouting, smiling, etc. according to their personalities. Japanese text in the top right corner spells their school name, and the bottom left sports their team motto.

Digital watercolor painting of Kageyama and Hinata from Haikyuu series walking home in the dark on a snowy night. Hinata laughs and talks, letting out a puff of cold air while Kageyama side-eyes him in silence.
Glad someone picked it up. The issue is it will take time but also by two or three years it's dropped and someone else will continue and this is gonna go on for some yearsππππ
It's Ryoko Ikeda's Orpheus no mado and Ryouko yamagishi's Hi Izuru Tokoro no Tenshi, an old bl manga..both of them are historical too!! And the art is so prettyπ€§
Sometimes I can't believe no one is translating these mangaπ
fan art of first year hinata and kageyama from haikyu! hinata is holding a volleyball and grinning. kageyama is also holding a volleyball and looks mad.
triple homo spike
