The U.S. Treasury’s borrowing showed no signs of slowing with the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) reporting that another $1 trillion was added to the federal deficit in the first five months of the year.
Of course, with more borrowing comes higher interest costs on the debt.
This afternoon, Senate Republicans blocked a bill to fund TSA, FEMA, Coast Guard, and Cyber Defense. Americans shouldn't have to wait in hour long lines at airports while workers go without pay, simply because the GOP refuse to address accountability and commonsense reforms at ICE and CBP.
