kind of crazy that if you have enough money and don't like what you see in the media, you can just buy up every film studio, news station, and social media app and change it

The choice is stark. Reform are the party of foreign wars and high bills.
The Greens want de-escalation and energy security through renewables. Solar and wind prices don't fluctuate when rogue US presidents launch illegal bombing campaigns.
It's funny to me when people who love to go on about second order effects of economic policies and the challenges of central planning without local knowledge suddenly drop all of that when it comes to foreign policy.
There’s a scenario here — not yet the central scenario by any means — where we have to revisit the debate about how to handle inflation driven by external supply shocks AKA terms of trade shocks and reconsider the lessons we failed to learn in 2023-24. Policy interest rates are a blunt tool.
