A medium-sized black bird is standing behind a dark pile of wood chips and dirt with a bit of snow mixed in, such that only the top half or so of its body is visible. The crow's body is facing the camera but it has its head turned to the right for a profile view.

The head is mostly black, with green swooping up from its forhead across its crown to end in a mullet at the neck. Turkey vultures are social friendly birds who happen to eat dead things. Glad this one stayed around long enough for me to take its portrait.
