I don't know because the research only surveyed women but anecdotally lack of separated bike lanes does seem to be a common concern amongst cyclists I speak to in Melbourne.

Thanks for sharing. The issue is that lack of bike paths is a problem across genders and for everyone who rides a bike. The thing that is a unique issue for women is sexual harassment when cycling.
