Updated Wollstoneblog post on Wollstonecraft in Bath! sites.google.com/nd.edu/eilee...
A good day β an article accepted on Wollstonecraft; a female student from two years ago asked for a letter for law school. Karma!
Ahead of this week's #WiseWomen episode, we sent our Roving Philosophical Reporter to explore the turbulent life and times of Mary Wollstonecraft with @eileenmhunt.bsky.social from Notre Dame, author of "Portraits of #Wollstonecraft: The Making of a Feminist Icon, 1785 to 2020": youtu.be/TKndx-RNbF4

As seen in Philly! CBB loved Wollstonecraft and the Shelleys loved him for it.

Rachel, I have a theory that Taylorβs mourning dress in the Fortnight video was inspired by this painting by Caspar David Friedrich that I used for the cover.
As seen in the Wild in Hefferβs, Cambridge!
The new dual bicentennial edition of Shelleyβs THE LAST MAN and THE JOURNAL OF SORROW out now in the UK from Oxford Worldβs Classics!!! global.oup.com/ukhe/product...
Excellent essayβprimo example of top-notch pop lit film criticismβmakes me want to re-read the book (one of my favorites from my youth) before I see the movie. www.washingtonpost.com/style/2026/0...
Thank youβUS release is April or May. Sometimes books arrive early if you pre-order.
Publication day! And not too far off the bicentennial date of both The Last Man and The Journal of Sorrow! global.oup.com/ukhe/product...

Just finished 11/23/63 (the series) and thought it a quite poignant take on the dangers of desiring to change the past and the wisdom of approaching life through the birdβs-eye lens of philosophy of history instead. One of the few King shows that lives up to the novel!
The public execution of two peaceful, caring, public-minded US citizens by ICE in the streets of Minneapolis this month is the lowest my government has stooped in my lifetime. I can only pray for justice and hope the conscience of our country will recalibrate in the wake of these awful martyrdoms.

To paraphrase Taylor again, thank you for the lovely bouquetβIβm married to the hustle, and you donβt know the life of a showgirl, babe.
The woman who took wedding photos with her PhD certificateβthereβs a truth to it. To paraphrase Taylor, people will let you down, but your PhD (ie, your education, Eras Tour, or other grand intellectual-artistic accomplishment) never will.

Best I could do with Gemini. Think West End Girl meets TS Eliot at Margate. βI can connect nothing with nothingβ.
How do I get a West End Girl meme of myself? Really love the original as well as the Brooklyn Beckham iteration! Also, it needs to be done for Taylor in her Father Figure video that I will be directing (thank you).
So many great lines in 11/23/63 the series: βThe hardest thing about living in the past, is that everything you tell everybody will be a lie.β And my favorite bit of Kingian wisdom: βIf you f@&$ with the past, the past will f&@$ with you.β
Survived my sonβs first Pokemon trading card show! So much fun for the kids, so much stress for the moms! But, in good news, clearly Smithβs micro-markets of sympathy towards strangers are still operating in Midwestern America.
I think it is the 2016-just released on Netflix
Watching 11/23/63 on Netflixβquite good and seems to capture the pathos of the novel, one of my favorites by King.

My two best Christmas presents ever! An official signed 1989 era TS photo & my new edition of MWSβs βThe Last Man & The Journal of Sorrowβ (in which I cite TS in the introduction). Both arrived today to honor 2026 (coincidentally bicentennial of TLM/JoS and wedding of TS)!
