But this was today's vote against the Right to Food motion from @seanorr.bsky.social which merely proposed to study the feasibility of using City-owned land for a community grocery store.

Election Day is October 17th.

Sad to say that despite Councilors @rebeccaleebligh.bsky.social @lucymaloney.bsky.social @ptfry.bsky.social @seanorr.bsky.social tabling an amendment to save these important road safety motions (and a couple others), the ABC majority voted together to kill them. So much effort undone.

Car Free Day: SAVED. Elect progressives, get results.

I moved this urgent motion today with Cllr Orr and was thrilled that it was approved unanimously by Council.

We're very excited to see Council make this investment in Car Free Days.

Let's go one step further and think about long-term sustainability and a way to reduce permit and event related costs. So many important events are struggling!
