I'm listening to the Dead Meat podcast about the new Scream, and it's kinda making me want to watch the old ones again. Maybe tonight I'll start one.
I have a friend who's getting really into Chainsaw Man, and did you know the mangaka also did a one-shot with a title that's a stealth Oasis reference.
The Ugly Stepsister remains my favorite story of these Oscars. A movie on SHUDDER up for an Oscar. NOT EVEN IN ENGLISH. ;___;
I have seen six films total, the horror movies + The Secret Agent and Marty Supreme, but Sinners alone gives me a horse in the race of almost every category, so.

Why Are Movies So Long These Days, I grumble about a movie released 11 years ago
Gonna try to see The Revenant this weekend instead, which also has scenery but no feelings.
I could go see Train Dreams tomorrow but I think it's going to want me to have feelings, and I try to avoid that kind of movie if at all possible.
WHAT. NO. WHAT. It was already on my mental list to buy. 😭
anyway Testament of Ann Lee is the best movie I've seen so far this year, new or old, and it is a travesty that it's not nominated for a single Oscar

Honestly cannot believe this isn't one of THE things people mention about Marty Supreme. "Timothee Chalamet gets spanked in public, and also one character might be a vampire."
That line was already fucking bizarre and felt totally anachronistic for the period. But then to end this apparently mundane Oscar hopeful with ACTUAL VAMPIRE. Can you imagine.

Yeah. :( Although fortunately I think I've hit most of what I wanted to see.
I'm interested that out of all the Oscar nominees who got one final showing before the awards, Marty Supreme is the one that then got almost a week of additional showings afterwards.
