We're throwing it back to 1981 today with this photograph, which shows when miners from Denby Grange Colliery broke through to the Caphouse workings on 17 January. πͺπ
This linked up the workings underground and gave another form of egress from both mines.

Then discovering the stunning site looked after by Pleasley Pit Trust and meeting their trustees and volunteers for the first time.
