Okay where are my union historians at—trying to figure out how many union staff strikes there have been in recent-ish years, and if there were any stats on which one of them was the longest
My immediate thought goes to the NEA staff lockout, but that doesn't quite fit the bill

These West Coast PWHL games are a nice treat before bed.
The Trump administration has rolled back federal environmental regulations to make it easier for the corporate polluters who bankrolled his reelection campaign to profit off our families, our public health, and our planet. (1/2)
i spent an inordinate amount of time dissecting why the media is obsessed with union voters and Trump, and why they keep getting it absolutely wrong when it comes to labor thehousered.substack.com/p/the-medias...
Now in English this terrific story about the Portuguese nobleman who fled the Inquisition and was described as 'impious and sodomite' and would rather 'play ball with his servants' than go to mass.

My latest for @jacobinmagazin.bsky.social explains how labor’s approach to 1st contracts is contributing to labor’s terminal decline & asks: how can unions structure 1st contracts to expand the power needed to win more over time? Are shorter 1st CBAs sometimes better? jacobin.com/2026/03/chip...

A maioria paga a fatura e enquanto isso, o setor energético soma lucros recorde.
Taxar os lucros excessivos e regular os preços da energia: é assim que se baixa a conta da luz para quem trabalha e vive do seu salário.
This is so bleak.
I am thankful for the opportunity of working with two leading labor lawyers, Jennifer Abruzzo and Andrea F. Hoeschen, on an article entitled "Why the Constitution Protects the Right to Organize."

On #InternationalWomensDay, America’s unions celebrate the women leading our labor movement, organizing unions and fighting for fair pay, safety, dignity and respect on the job.
Their fight is all of our fight, and we’re proud to celebrate and stand with them every single day.
Goddamn, the new Temple of Void album is great.

Saw a pickup with "KING REZA PAHLAVI" emblazoned on the side last night. It's getting real weird out there, man.
JUST ANNOUNCED: TYLER is the next stop on our statewide listening tour!
Are you a union member? We want to hear from you! RSVP for our #TylerTX Labor Town Hall on Tuesday, 3/17 at bit.ly/tylerlabor
There’s a pretty strong norm in the union world against publicly criticizing other union leaders but at some point I think it becomes necessary for labor movement leaders to start saying “Sean O’Brien sucks.”
Otherwise this guy represents all unions in people’s minds

New to me, too.
Not since 1962!
Union members at ACLU-DC have been fighting for close to 3 years for our first contract. This is unacceptable. We’re united in our demands for work-life balance, fair pay, and worker protections. Hear from our members firsthand on why we need a fair contract now. Union rights are civil rights.
