I went to the thrift store yesterday and overheard two dads having a DEEP conversation about Naruto
We need more of that right now. Life in America is stressful and feels so bleak. But we can always pause, take a breath, and argue over power levels in anime while our kids look through toys
It's very interesting being at a point in adulthood where you watch everyone level up simultaneously
Everyone around me is moving states, getting promotions, and starting families, etc
And I'm just here thinking about the Switch 2 and what snacks I want to buy after work
Oh, absolutely. This is the worst
My hot take is that I'm not mad about the Switch 2 prices.
When adjusting for inflation, the price between Switch 1 and 2 isn't that big. Game sharing and the Virtual Card systems add a lot of value, especially for families
Inflation tariffs suck, but Nintendo isn't JUST raising prices here
I just referred to being sick as my "filler arc."
This has now part of my personal lexicon

Oh, yeah! I've never played it but I remember when it came out.

All in all, I'm hoping this exercise will breathe some life back into the hobby for me. Both on and off stream!
So, #gamingsky got any suggestions?
1: There are a TON of older games I've never played. Even in my own library
2: Games are astronomically larger and longer than ever before. And a lot of it feels like bulk for the sake of bulk
3: I'm exhausted by live service storytelling and limited time exclusively. And I'm a Warcraft player ๐
Big goal for me this year is to play more retro games. Or, at least games that can be completed in less than 60 hours
