Watching a demo of how you can turn every NPC in your RPG town into somebody who says "That's right โ€” you *are* the four LIGHT WARRIORS. You make a great point! The bridge to the main continent *does* need to be repaired, and you're just the person to do it."

Easy - best curry in the entire country is Nippon Curry in the Marina, which is an offshoot of the Grand Prix-winning Hinoya Curry!

Curry Hyuga is also extremely good.

Nintendo Insider: Uncle Scrooge, Chip, Dale, Baloo, Darkwing Duck, Goofy, and Bonkers. Which of these heroes do you think could best handle a Level 10 Spicy curry at Coco Ichiban Curry? Whoโ€™s settling for sweet?

Chris Kohler: Iโ€™ve been to Coco Ichibanya a lot but Iโ€™ve only ever seen someone legitimately eat a Level 10 one time, and when they brought the plate out it looked like staring into the caldera of an active volcano. I would not wish it on anyone, but since the Hot Sauce item in Bonkers causes him to comically blow steam out of his ears and gives him temporary invincibility, I feel he could handle it the best.

Title: "Unprepared for a Regrettable Luncheon! (With apologies to Kelly)"
In the visual style of famed The Onion cartoonist Stan Kelly, Superintendent Chalmers is having lunch with Principal Skinner, who is menacingly placing a tray of hamburgers and fries upon the table, which greatly upsets Chalmers. Beneath one of the hamburgers is a wrapper bearing the text "Obviously grilled fast food".

Chalmers [labelled as "Disappointed guests"]: "B-but... I thought we were having steamed CLAMS!!"
Skinner [labelled as "Isometric exercising* odd fellows" - the asterisk refers to a footnote reading "Latest fad"]: "Oh, no, I made STEAMED HAMSโ„ขยฎ! ยฉ1996 Skinner family All rights reserved"

From within the clouds of smoke billowing from Skinner's kitchen (wherein an American flag can be seen burning) three heavenly beings gaze upon the scene disapprovingly: A pig labelled "Actual hams", Krusty the clown, labelled "Hard-working patent-holders", and a teenaged fry-cook labelled "Ignored sandwich artists".
Lady Liberty peeks in the door and sheds a sad tear at this woeful scene.
Kelly's obligatory artist cameo has him disgruntledly commenting "Seymour-a bore-e-malice."

Certainly it helped, during that interview, that I had actually played the first game and had a lot of thoughts about it that informed my questions, which in turn elicited thoughtful responses, but I had no idea until now how impactful that exchange had been.

Almost 11 years have passed since this interview, but of course it all sticks out in my mind.

Yoko's description during our interview of other games being a "steak" but Nier being a "teishoku" will never leave my brain. I thought about this all through my playthrough.

With a game as rule-breaking as Nier, ideas might come at any moment. When Saito mentions that Platinum Games wants the new title to run at 60 frames per second, Yoko picks up his phone and starts typing out a note.

"It would be great to have the game function at 60 frames per second, but that's not an absolute must," Yoko says a minute later. "But through that conversation we were having a moment ago, I thought it might be interesting to have a boss battle where a certain attack he does might drop the framerate ridiculously low."

Or maybe, he said, the boss would cause the game's display resolution to drop unexpectedly. Yoko noted this on his phone, too.

So now that I'm (almost) done I went back today to read the interview

-- which, again, was two years prior to the game coming out, so nobody knew ANYTHING about what this game would entail --

and my eyes went wide when I saw Yoko working out a major game feature IN THE MIDDLE OF OUR INTERVIEW:
